Kathleen Golden is a graduate of the Tri-State College of Acupuncture (Diploma of Acupuncture 1993, Master of Science in Acupuncture 1999) and holds Advanced Study Certificates in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chinese Medical Aromatherapy, Chinese Dietary Therapy and Healing with Gems and Stones: a Chinese medicine perspective. The continuation of her education derives from the guidance of
Dr. Jeffrey Yuen and his dissemination of two Daoist Lineages, Yu Qing Huang Lao Pai (Jade Purity Yellow Emperor Lao Zi School) and Quan Zhen Long Men Pai (Complete Reality Dragon Gate School).
- Holds a B.A. from Columbia University, 1989.
- Has maintained for 31 years, and continues to develop, a full-time Chinese medicine private practice in New York City on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
- Participated as an educator of Chinese medicine at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture from 1994-2004 as a core faculty member and senior clinical supervisor, and was a member of the administrative team for 2 years.
- In 2016- 2018, (when the school closed) Ms. Golden again returned to education of the next generation of Acupuncture/Chinese medicine providers at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture. Ms. Golden served as Senior Supervisor in the third year student clinic, was a member of the Traditional Chinese Medicine didactic and practicum team and was a Reader for the Senior Year Capstone final project.
- Completed post-graduate education in Acupuncture/Chinese medicine in the treatment of women's health, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory disorders, immune deficiencies, endocrine disorders, hormonal disorders, pain management, neurological disorders, trauma, psycho-social disorders, sleep disorders and cancer support.
- Yoga practitioner for three decades under the lineage of Guruji BKS Iyengar.
